Kasey Edwards is an Australian feminist bestselling author and columnist. Her books include ''30-Something and Over It: What Happens when you Wake Up and Don't Want to go to Work. Ever Again. '' and ''30-Something and the Clock Is Ticking: What Happens When You Can No Longer Ignore the Baby Question'', both published by Mainstream, an imprint of Random House (UK). Her books have been republished by Random House in Australia, and translated by publishers in Germany, Finland, the Netherlands and Portugal. She also wrote a book about positive body image which was critical of the diet industry, titled ''Kill The Fat Girl'', but she was unable to find a commercial publisher to buy it. == Early life and education == Edwards was born in Melbourne but spent part of her early childhood on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Her father was a teacher in an international school for workers in a Canadian nickel mine located in Sulawesi. Edwards attended Runcorn High School in Brisbane Australia. Edwards graduated with a business degree from QUT, Brisbane, Australia in 1996. She also is a Masters in Change Management and Innovation from Griffith University, Australia. Edwards started her career in business working for the Australian Trade Commission and on Business Club Australia, the official business programs for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. She lived in the Netherlands for several years where she specialised in ebusiness consulting. Returning to Australia in 2004 she worked for management consulting firm SMS and then PA Consulting where she was made redundant when PA Consulting's Australian operations closed. In 2008 she became a change management consultant for SAP. She was made redundant from that role on the same day her first book was published.
